BREAKING NEWS-GARAGE FIRE NOH

The garage at the rear of 7714 N. Marshfield caught (was set?) on fire tonight at about 10:00 p.m.. The property is apparently vacant having been foreclosed on several years ago. A number of us in the neighborhood have been trying to get the City and/or the Alderman to take action and get the garage secured to no avail. It's been wide open for months and this was bound to happen. We should be thankful that the damage was confined to the one stall. Our thanks to the men and women of our Fire Department for a job well done! mcl
