RP/WR HISTORICAL SOCIETY'S 'GERMANIA' HOUSE TOUR & HISTORICAL WALK

What major Chicago radio station began their broadcasting on Howard Street, in the Grand Ballroom of the Broadmoor Hotel ?
(We'll give you a hint: their early slogan was
"We Broadcast Broadmoor Music!")

Discover this and other fun facts about
our neighborhood's fascinating history during
the Rogers Park/West Ridge Historical Society's
23rd annual House Tour and Historical Walk --
Sunday, May 3, 2009 from 1-5pm.

This year's tour features a dozen homes and historic sites, including locations from the heyday of Howard Street nightlife and beautiful lake views from the private piers of Eastlake Terrace.
The starting point is at 1643 West Howard, at the historic Howard Theatre building immediately east of the newly renovated Howard "L" station. Free parking may be found in the rear of the building.

Tickets are $16 for Society members;
$20 for Non-members.

This was a fun event, and the weather couldn't be nicer.

Visited all 20 locations on the tour and had a great time of it.
