FROM BEAT 2422 CAPS FACILITATOR

Greetings All,

7706 N. Marshfield, the building where the six children died in the fire last September of 2006, owned by Jay Johnson, is going to be in housing court on Tuesday, March 6th at 9:30 a.m. at the Daley Plaza Building court room # 1103. Jay Johnson did not have working smoke alarms in his building plus there were other building code violations that had been neglected by Mr. Johnson.

Anyone wishing to stand up in court as a court advocate for the family and the community is welcome to come to court to show the judge and the city that we do not want landlords who will allow such violations and disregard for human life owning buildings in our neighborhood. If we get enough people who want to go to court I can get a bus to take people there and bring them back.

Please e-mail me if you want to bring people and the number you expect so that I can get a bus. Please pass this information on to anyone you think is interested in going to court on this building.

Thank you.Your support is needed and appreciated.
