Mayor Daley's way of dealing with Chicago's financial woes is to eliminate the jobs of rank and file city workers and slash their hours, along with the services they provide. This 'downsizing' of city employees, inaddition to the selling off of city assets, is being felt by all of us on a daily basis in very negative ways.
