Here is a letter from a concerned parent about the conditions at Gale Park. There are similar concerns at the Harold Washington Memorial Playlot on Paulina as well as Triangle Park on Hermitage. For those of us living around HWM Playlot, each day requires multiple 911 calls to request that the police remove the older crowd (teens and up) from the Playlot. Usually these calls go unresponded to, and there is absolutly NO consistent, proactive effort to provide safety and security to the Playlot or any of the Parks NOH. The entire NOH neighborhood needs to DEMAND that the officers of the 24th District immediately begin to provide the 'We Serve & Protect' we all pay for! The current condition and situation is an outrage and has been for years!
