'Big Red'199?-2006
It was with heavy heart and great sadness, that 'Big Red' was laid to rest yesterday. Red was diagnosed with a large abdominal tumor on September 8th. Most residents in the N. W. corner of NoH (Hermitage, Paulina, Marshfield) knew "Big Red' , as he was something of a neighborhood 'fixture' patrolling our streets, alleys and gardens, "keeping an eye on things". Red is now at rest in 'Sophie's Garden', under the Elm behind 7712 N. Paulina, his home for the past 5 years.
